Laggan Lochs

We are approx:

Just a few minutes walk from us is a delightful path through the woods to the Loch Gates at Laggan where you can watch the boats enter Loch Lochy.
To the north the path takes you to the swing bridge where the boats enter loch Oich, from thence down the canal and into Fort Augustus. This path can be cycled as well as walked. In fact the Great Glen Cycle Route is only ten minutes away by bike. There is also the old railway track just a minute from us where you can walk or cycle. There are some lovely walks through the pine forest, over the hill top and into the next valley (the photo above is taken from one of the paths). So, north, south, east and west you have lovely walking and cycle paths.

Walk to the locks

You could visit Nevis Range Ski centre only 18 miles from here & is Britains only cable car system. The views on a clear day are breathtaking. Feeling energetic then a walk up Ben Nevis is well worth while on a good day.
